self-defeating
mind games that we all play
There are several
self-defeating mind games that we all play to some extent in life, and
it is not dependant on us been survivors; although we do have a habit of
falling into the trap more often than non survivors.
These games are
self-defeating in so far as they are ways we use to try and survive;
they usually end up with the opposite results to those that would be
healthy and rewarding to us. We are buy no means saying that we all play
these games all the time, but it’s a fare bet that you will recognise
some of these in your life and in your past.
Before we can change how
we react to a given situation, it helps if we can understand how we
currently deal with such things. Once we have done that we can plan for,
and even practice for, using different, healthier ways in the future.
There are 6 main games
that we play in our life, and these are; -
1. Don’t play the
game. (under

2. Become a problem.
3. Be the nice guy.

5. Lies and gossip.

6. Get them before
they get you. (under
construction)
They may not look at all
relevant to your life by just looking at them on the list above, but if
you look at the examples of each of them that we list, I think you will
be more than a little surprised.
As we have said before,
often we will not have any answers for you, but if we can help you be
aware of the things going on around you now, then you have a far
improved probability of finding healthier ways forward in life.
