I
have noticed from our access logs that many people arrive at the site from educational institutions, looking for statistics on various aspects of childhood sexual abuse,
adult female rape and adult male on male rape. Indeed, many survivors themselves also have been looking for such information. Listed below are links to some of the research
papers that I have come across during my many years on the Internet, that you may,
or may not, find helpful.
All links will open in a new window, and also you have the ability to “rate” the links to show which ones you found helpful.
If you are a survivor yourself please be aware that some of the articles my well be triggering.
The links below are not placed
in any particular order, only the order that I have found them while
trawling through my bookmarks. At some time in the future, they will
probably be listed by ranking once enough people have voted on their usefulness.
If you know of other research links, I would be grateful
if you would please drop us an e-mail.
If you are a university student who has produced a research paper for your
psychology course etc., and you would like to have it published on this
site, please submit it to admin@aest.zzn.com
along with your name (or a nickname), so that you can retain the copyright
on the article; and we will be please to add it to the site. If it is
already on a site please feel free to send us a link to it.

Do
you offer rape victims emergency contraception? Liability is an issue: you
need strategies to avoid malpractice and lawsuits.
Although emergency contraception (EC) is the standard of care for rape
victims, many Emergency Departments do not offer patients this option.
* Guidelines from the American Medical Association, the American College
of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and the American College for
Emergency Physicians support the use of EC for rape victims.
* If you don't offer EC or give the patient a referral, the hospital can
be sued for malpractice.
